Happy holidays from all of us at Starfish! In this month's update, we have several important bugfixes and new features for Hellgate® Commerce and Hellgate® Guardian.

Hellgate® Commerce (f85fd60)​

Bugfixes & Improvements
  • Improved session error handling on CDE import.
  • Handle card-art corner cases for some issuers.
  • Handle BIN data gracefully when missing some attributes.

Hellgate® Guardian (v1.14.3)​

Bugfixes
  • Allow deletion of network tokens in case of active cryptograms.
  • Better handling of image dimensions of card-art data.
  • Better error messages for missing data in scheme cryptograms.
Feature
  • VISA Token Management Service (TMS) support for network tokenization.

👋 — the October 2025 update is here.

This month we focused on enhancing our SDKs and Guardian services. We have added support for split expiry input fields in our SDKs, making it easier for developers to manage payment splits with varying expiration dates.

Hellgate® Guardian (v1.13.0)​

Bugfixes
  • Fixed a small issue where notifications were retried on successful delivery.

  • Updates to the latest PCI-DSS requirements.

👋 — the September 2025 update is here.

This month we focused on polishing our existing features and fixing bugs. We also added support for deterministic TPANs (Token PAN) on the Hellgate network token sandbox. This is a great help for developers to test their integration with consistent data. In case you want to use this feature or learn more about it, please reach out to our support team.

Finally we completly ungated the payments including sophisticated marketplace splits. This is a great step forward to make Hellgate Commerce the go-to solution for all your payment needs.

Hellgate® SDKs (v3.8.1)​

Improvement
  • September cleanup and maintenance release for our SDKs.

Hellgate® Commerce (6459fc1)​

Feature
  • Support deterministic TPANs (Token PAN) on the Hellgate network token sandbox.
  • General availability of payments including splits.
Improvement
  • Better error messages on invalid payloads for session completion (specifically encrypted CHD payloads)
  • Wider support of metadata in requests
Bugfix
  • Fixed issuer metadata retrieval for cards without default currency
  • Support more exotic cardart data from issuers

Hellgate® Guardian (v1.12.0)​

Based on the existing Guardian CPA relase v1.11.0 we added the following features:

👋 — the August 2025 update is here.

It seems to be a small change, but our improved authentication subsystem is a big step forward in making every API interaction faster and more secure. Other than that we listened to our beloved customers and finally introduced the ability to inject only parts of data into their proxy forward payload. This is great to trim our standard four digit year to two digits.

Buckle up — the July 2025 update is here, and while some parts are sleek and subtle, others are nothing short of game‑changing.

Hot on the heels of our Composable Payment Architecture (CPA) launch — a huge step forward for the Hellgate® Commerce platform — we’re cranking things up another notch. Starting this month, selected customers can blur the boundaries and run dedicated Guardian instances directly inside their existing Commerce accounts. This means our cutting‑edge, ironclad data data-ownership is now available across every operating model Hellgate® Commerce powers today. Think of it as putting a your own security fortress right inside your commerce stack.

This month's update is huge. We are excited to announce that Hellgate® Platform Payments is now in Beta! But we are not stopping there. We are also expanding our support for network tokens, making it easier than ever to integrate with various payment networks: 👋 American Express and Discover!
