Account Configuration
Hellgate® allows to manage your account via the front-end application. You can configure the main settings of the primary merchant, its 3-D Secure setup, and if you are running a eco-system setup, also the related sub-merchants.
Setups
We distinguish between two setups for accounts:
- Single Merchnat Accounts
- Eco-System Accounts
An account is by default a single merchant account. If you want to run an eco-system setup, you can request the activation of the eco-system feature. This will allow you to create sub-merchants and manage them via the dashboard and the API. Please reach out to your account manager or our support team to activate the eco-system feature.
Single Merchant Account
In this type of account, you can configure a primary merchant. This merchant is the acting entity for all types of transactions operated via Hellgate®.
General Setup
In the sidebar of Hellgate® you find a new item with the label "Merchants" under the section "Account". For a primary merchant it will look like this:
You have access to the configuration of the merchant with respect to its payment setup (e.g. Main Merchant ID, Currency, etc.), the encryption keys for token-authentication data, and th 3-D Secure setup.
Hellgate might have automatically created an encryption key for you. As you don't have access to the keys after creation, please re-generate the key if you need it.
3-D Secure Setup
If you activate the 3-D Secure feature, your account will be able to use Hellgate's native 3-D Secure processing capabilites. In order to get started here, you need to configure the setup.
The 3-D Secure configuration consists basically of two elements:
- The scheme setup in which you have to configure the required parameters for each scheme you want to process transactions.
- An optional toggle to enable 3-D Secure for cardholder verification as part of EMV Token ID&V.
If you don't feel confortable with the setup, please reach out your Hellgate account manager or our support team.
Eco-System Account
In an eco-system setup, you can create sub-merchants and manage them via the dashboard and the API. The configuration of a sub-merchant is similar to the configuration of a primary merchant.
If you open the tab, you'll see all sub-merchants which are configured for the account.
You can view the details of the sub-merchants, edit their settings, and also delete them from this screen.
If you create a new sub-merchant, basically the same settings as for the primary merchant are required. Also a specific 3-D Secure setup can be configured. Only, there is no option for the ID&V use on tokenization, as all tokens belong to the primary merchant.
